Being so close to Mexico, it’s not a surprise that we would have a Spirits of Mexico Festival to show our love for tequila, mezcal, sotol and all those other agave-based spirits! The festival’s main tasting event, and best part of the fest, will be this Saturday, September 15 from 7 to 9pm! The event will be held in the McCoy Garden Courtyard (behind Barra Barra Saloon) in Old Town.
The Spirits of Mexico festival in San Diego is the oldest, largest and most comprehensive festival for agave and other Mexican spirits enthusiasts in the United States. The week long festival sees more than 2,500 dedicated fans in attendance.
The Spirits of Mexico Festival is in its ninth year and will bring attendees over 200 varieties from over 70 producers. At this mouth-watering tasking event you receive a welcome cocktail made with Herradura Tequila. As for the rest of the night, sit back and enjoy tapas from Casa de Reyes; educational seminars with industry experts like Robert Plotkin; a silent auction featuring rare bottlings; and plenty of alcohol sampling!
