Description: Thousands of San Diegans will be participating in the largest coastal cleanup event of the year. More than 80 sites will be cleared of trash and debris. I Love A Clean San Diego is sponsoring the event, which is held on the same day as the statewide initiative to keep beaches clean.
What: Coronado Art Walk
When: Saturday, September 15 2012 at 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: Coronado Ferry Landing
Description: Art lovers can stroll through scenic Coronado this weekend for its annual art walk. The two-day outdoor festival is hosted by the Coronado Historical Association and aims to foster creativity and appreciation for local artists and vendors. This is a free, public event.
What: Encinitas Blind Surfing Event
When: Sunday, Sept. 16 2012 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: South Ponto Beach in Carlsbad
Descriptions: The Encinitas Lions Club are teaming up with local businesses to help visually impaired residents experience surfing in San Diego. At this 17th annual Surfing Clinic for the blind and sight impaired, participants are given instruction, and assisted in the water by local surfing instructors and volunteers as they challenge themselves to balance atop surfboards.

Description: Enjoy dishes from some of San Diego’s best restaurants during Restaurant Week, when three-course meals are offered from $15-$40.
