Just like previous years, all the families will have a great time by attending the seasonal entertainment, enjoying the smacking food, along with the merry holiday lights everywhere in the Park through the Plaza de Panama canopy to the Botanical Building to the landmark Moreton Bay Fig Tree.
There are the Park organizations where you can get a listing of the food vendors and food trucks go to Balboa Park Visitors Center in the House of Hospitality, California Quadrangle, Christmas drink, Glögg, Civic Dance Arts, Dinosaur Café, Fleet Science Center and much, much more!
The much eminent attractions at the park will incorporate:
- Food: From various places of the world, there will be delicious food at the International Christmas Festival at the House of Pacific Relations Cottages;
- Shopping: Visitors can buy unique and attractive gifts from the museum stores, Spanish Village and the Balboa Park Visitors Center;
- Entertainment: There will be powerful musical and dance performances from the San Diego Junior Theatre, San Diego Civic Youth Ballet, Del Cerro Baptist’s Christmas Story Tree and much more;
- Museums: The museums will highlight an extensive diversity of exhibitions and entertainment which will cover the Timken Museum’s annual Christmas Tree revealing the beautiful Schlappi Ornament Collection of Hord and Schlappi Christmas; the Fleet ScienceCenter’s kid-friendly and exhibitions that are interactive. There will also be the interesting San Diego Natural History Museum’s Extraordinary Ideas from Ordinary People: A History of Citizen Science and Coast to Cactus in Southern California.
As there will be a huge number of people coming to the December Nights, the parking will be limited that is why it is suggested that you should take the off-site shuttles (which is free!) or get public transportation. The December Nights Shuttles everywhere will run Friday from 3:00-midnight and on Saturday from 11:30 until midnight.
