Happy Thanksgiving San Diego! It’s the perfect time to take a break, relax, and give thanks to all of the fantastic things in your life. We have lined up San Diego’s top Thanksgiving dinners and events for you. Here are the details:

What: Annual Thanksgiving Dinner at Hotel Del Coronado
When: Thursday November 24, 2016
Where: Hotel Del Coronado, San Diego
Description: Give thanks and celebrate with family and friends at The Del’s exquisite Thanksgiving dinner in the magnificent Crown Room. The elegant buffet will be a lavish feast with all of the trimmings and live musical entertainment. The resort’s holiday programs will also kick off on Thanksgiving weekend. All of our holiday events are by reservation only and must be prepaid to confirm. Tax and gratuity will be added during the booking process. Self-parking will be $5 for up to 3 hours with validation. A discounted rate for valet parking will be offered. Any changes or cancellations must be made by 5pm on Sunday, November 20, to receive a refund.

What: Del Mar Thanksgiving Family Mile Fun Run
When: Thursday November 24, 2016
Where: Del Mar Racetrack
Description: While waiting for the turkey to cook, come out to Del Mar with the entire family to do a one-mile lap around the racetrack itself! Expected to participate are many of your favorite jockeys running right with you. Participants receive racetrack admission and parking, a fun run t-shirt, and a portion of the proceeds benefit Helen Woodward Animal Center and their equestrian therapy program for children and adults with special needs. Kids prizes will also be available. After the run, Helen Woodward will be hosting one of their beloved adoption events at the track. Then stay for some racing with our special 11 a.m. post.

What: Run For The Hungry – Thanksgiving Day
When: Thursday November 24, 2016
Where: Horton Square (NBC Plaza), San Diego
Description: To combat food insecurity across our county, thousands of San Diegans lace up their running and walking shoes on Thanksgiving morning and head downtown for the annual Run for the Hungry 5K/10K. Before sitting down to Thanksgiving feasts, thousands will run/walk/stroll to support others who aren’t as fortunate. Proceeds from the event directly benefit food assistance programs at Jewish Family Service of San Diego and the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank. Participants can register in a team or individually. Teams of 20 or more will receive free t-shirts for each person with the team name printed on them. What: 11th Annual PMCU O’side Turkey Trot
When: Thursday November 24, 2016
Where: Oceanside Civic Center, San Diego
Description: Come “move your feet before you eat” this Thanksgiving at Oceanside’s 11th Annual PMCU Turkey Trot 10k or 5K run/walk. Join one of the fastest growing holiday traditions. Be sure to bring the whole family, as there will be races for everyone.
