Description: You and your family have worked hard on your Halloween costumes…here’s your opportunity to show them off! While you’re at it, document your efforts with some photos in the Pumpkin Patch at Bates Nut Farm. Participants in the Bates Costume Contest will get a certificate of participation, Halloween treats and a tractor hayride ticket. Not wearing a costume? Come anyway to enjoy the costume parade and cheer for your favorite costumes. Prizes will be awarded in four age categories, so everybody has a chance to win. Costume parade and judging begin at 11:00. Create lasting memories at Bates with all the Pumpkin Patch activities, scrumptious food, and variety-dance music from Calico Ridge on the Bates Stage from 12-3.

28th Annual Craft FairWhat: 28th Annual Craft Fair

Description: Stroll through 8,500 square feet of professional customized items, shop for unique, high-quality gifts and enjoy food trucks, baked goods, opportunity drawings and camaraderie in the courtyard. The Craft Fair includes more than 60 expert craft artists and a large assortment of homemade baked items. Friday, food trucks will be on-site throughout the event. Also on Friday evening from 5-7 pm, families can enjoy the Children’s Carnival which will include games, crafts for kids, and small prizes. Costumes encouraged! kodalineWhat: Kodaline Concert – Birds of Tokyo

Description: For Kodaline, music isn’t just music. “It’s therapy,” says singer Steve Garrigan. “Break-ups make it really easy to write”, laughs blonde-haired Steve. A musical bond was formed over late night singalongs. Returning to Swords, they recruited Vinny, who also lived two minutes away (“Swords is a small place, for a big town” says Steve), and set about forming the first of myriad bands. The line-up was recently completed by bassist Jason Boland.
