Description: Join the annual Father’s Day Open House at the global humanitarian and cultural leader James Hubbell’s historically designated compound.
The public tour will unveil the latest building on the compound: the 9th so far and called the Ilan-Lael Foundation building, which has been under construction since early 2013. The archive and gallery of the new building will be inaugurated, which will showcase some of Hubbell’s most recent and interesting artwork. The space will also serve as a meeting space to accommodate organizations and retreats with a courtyard amphitheater designed for outdoor classes and events.
The complementary shuttle service will transport visitors to and from Wynola Farms Marketplace.

Description: The 5th Annual San Diego Oysterfest is all ready to make its way to Marina Embarcadero North, just behind Seaport Village on Saturday, June 14th, 2014. This year’s headliner is Matt and Kim with support from BoomBox, He’s My Brother She’s My Sister, Oliver Trolley, Babarian and 22 Kings. The mood is festive with music by DJs Demon, Artistic, Mikey Beats, Mike Czech, Who & Paulo.
Oysters will be brought in from British Columbia and from along the West Coast of California, as well as delectables from many of San Diego’s top restaurants. There are more than 10 types of beers, a wide range of other beverages, such as wines, cocktails, whiskey and other nonalcoholic beverages.
In between all the musical acts you can visit cooking demos by celebrity chefs, cheer on the “Shuck and Suck” competition, meet San Diego’s fastest oyster-shucker, and learn all about oyster farming at the Oyster Expo history exhibit. Myles O’Reilly, founder of the San Diego OysterFest, says, “This day by the Bay filled with tasty music and oysters– a true communion with the sea—is not to be missed.” The San Diego OysterFest will donate a portion of the day’s proceeds to Advokids, a non profit organization helping foster families throughout California.
