There’s also a fascinating exhibit focusing on the development of the State of California. You can enjoy a boat ride along the Pacific Ocean in the San Diego Natural History Museum, or take a tram tour through the grounds. The Pacific Ocean and the surrounding coastline are home to some of California’s most scenic natural sites.

Another hot spot for San Diego things to do is the Sea World. Located at the Baypointe Wharf, this seven-acre attraction offers visitors all sorts of fun experiences. Visitors can go to the Shamu undersea show, swim with stingrays, or try their luck diving for octopus. A favorite among children, the Sea World offers various interactive water activities, including but not limited to, swimming with dolphins, learning to surf, or playing in the sea with sharks. Children will especially love the Dolphin Plunge, where they dive into the water and come up through the floor of the tank and zip right up to the surface of the water.
