There are many more fun things to do in San Diego than what I’ve listed here, but this list is good to get a start on your plan to vacation in the great state of California!
Balboa Park: One of the best things to do in San Diego is visit Balboa Park. This park is a great place to enjoy the beautiful natural beauty around you. The whole park is made of a great network of trails that wind around different areas of the park. Within the park, you’ll find the popular Balboa Park Zoo, which has a lot of exhibits about birds and other wildlife. If you’re not interested in animals, you can also visit the flower fields that dot the area and take in the sights and sounds of nature.
Beaches: San Diego has a lot of great beaches to offer tourists. In fact, you can spend several days just relaxing and sunning on the beaches. Two of the most popular beaches to hang out on in San Diego are La Jolla and Point Loma. You can walk along the coastline or take a boat ride to get to the better beaches (there are also bike paths leading down into the ocean).
Oceanfront Breathe Deep & Marine Science Center: This is a wonderful exhibit at the Pacific Oceanfront Breathe Deep & Marine Science Center located right on the Pacific Ocean. It is basically a sea aquarium, complete with live sea creatures and saltwater corals. It’s a great thing to do for people who love the sea but aren’t really into marine life.
North San Diego Things to Do: If you’re looking for North San Diego things to do, there are literally hundreds of different activities to choose from. Visitors can take a hike, go swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, sailing, parasailing, horseback riding, fishing, watching balloon rides, or attending any of the numerous festivals that happen here. A little bit of wind surfing, kayaking, or whale watching never hurt anybody either.
Seawalk: Sea World San Diego is only three miles away from the heart of downtown San Diego. On the way to Sea World, you will pass by several other fascinating theme parks, a Gas Lamp District, the Del Monte Island Light House, Mission Bay Park, and the Historic Gas Lamp District all within walking distance. Once you get to Sea World, head over to Balboa Park to check out the awesome rollercoasters and giant wave rides. After that, head back to the sea world San Diego, which should be a fun place to end your day.
