The nights feature: the Juried Art Exhibit, this year’s jurors, Ashley Gardner Executive Director of the Women’s Museum of California, Irene Lara, PhD professor in the Women Studies Department at San Diego State University and Criz Scorza, Education Curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego, selected the exhibition winners, from a group of 30 very talented artists. The winner, runner-ups and honorable mentions will be revealed at the Opening Reception. And of course, we’ll be bringing back the Peoples Choice Award allowing guests at the opening reception to vote for their favorite art piece.

The opening reception tends to get crowded, so we advice those who wish to spend some quiet time with the art to join us from 5-7pm, and those who want to enjoy the live performances to stay from 7-10pm.
Limited copies of A Body of Art: Dia de la Mujer Exhibition 2008-2013, our exhibition catalog, commemorating 6 years of this amazing exhibition, and its contribution to the artistic cannon will be available for purchase for $25 on opening night.
Admission is free and everyone is invited and encouraged to attend, although parents should keep in mind the exhibition theme art of body : body of art and anticipate some tasteful nudity. Join us as we celebrate and honor the shining beauty and talent of the women in our communities.
Free Parking will be available on lot located in the corner of Blanche & Cypress, behind THE FRONT.
