SoCal Showcase Music and Arts Festival at 4th&B St.San Diego
You can see the revival of Hawaiian music with people coming out with their own styles. Inspired by Earth Wind & Fire, Janis Joplin, the Bee Gees, the Average White Band and more will find thier way into the hearts (and ears) of the most discerning listeners and music enthusiasts! Tickets to the inaugural SoCAL Music Festival will go on sale Friday, June 29th with a limited number of presale available for $20.
Summer Fun on The 101: Leucadia’s Music Festival at Lou’s Records Encinitas
1)Concert by the Red Fox Tails and Mattson 2 (June 29, 5:30pm). Inspired and the Sleep, Glen and the Boys, and others keep “things rocking into the night” at Ducky Waddle’s.
2) June 30 Beach cleanup from Moonlight to Beacon’s (11:30am).
3) Music by Julie Cowley and Megan Combs at Surfy Surfy/Café Ipe (10-11am).
4) Concert follows at Leucadia Roadside Park by Superwave, Mattson 2, the Donkeys, a surf film by Ray Orate with live accompaniment by Boaz, more (11am-9pm).
The FREE event will also be followed by Beer garden, raffles, art activities for kids.

INTO THE BEAUTIFUL NORTH, AND BEYOND at WorldBeat Cultural Center Park Boulevard, San Diego
San Diego hosts presentation by author Luis Alberto Urrea for her book INTO THE BEAUTIFUL NORTH and BEYOND! The presentation will be followed by panel discussion about border issues relating to SD. Pre-event reception promises “authentic Mexican cuisine,” music, book signing by Urrea (books available for purchase).
Intervention Saturday with DJ Skribble at Hard Rock
Intervention knows how to start off your4th of July weekend right, with two days of nonstop bumpin and grindin at the Hard Rock Hotel. Begin on Saturday, with DJ Skribble as you party by the fourth floor deck of this top San Diego Hotel. Tickets are $20.

Summer Chamber Music Festival at Shiley Theatre at University of San Diego
Musicians from around the world are partcipating in program like the Brahms “Piano Quintet,” Schumann’s “Piano Trio,” Beethoven’s “Serenade,” and duos for baroque cello and viola da gamba. On this seventh annual festival, opening will be with faculty concert.
Intervention Sunday with The Crystal Method at Hard Rock
Head back to the Hard Rock again on Sunday for a day filled with cabanas, day beds, umbrellas, and island-inspired décor for Intervention. Sunday, July 1st, get lost in the sounds of The Crystal Method and end the weekend with a bang. Tickets are $25.
