Saturday September 1st will mark the launch of the inaugural SoCal Music Fest, bringing the Southern California lifestyle to the streets of San Diego’s East Village. This all-day festival will include 4 music stages featuring DJ’s and live bands as well as interactive art exhibits displayed throughout the streets. The festival will take place from 2:00pm until midnight and will be expanded across five blocks between 9thAve and Park Blvd.
The event will feature 25 DJs and live acts on four outdoor stages across five blocks. Indie rock band Cold War Kids will be joined by house DJ / producer Roger Sanchez, electro duo Designer Drugs, and Bay Area hip hop hit maker Too $hort. The lineup also boasts local groups Vokab Kompany, Burning of Rome and Hyena. Other highlights include live art installations, a Red Bull skate ramp, inflatable slide and life-size Jenga.
