Friday, June 8

San Diego County Fair at the Del Mar Fairgrounds

The annual San Diego County Fair is back this Friday, June 8, and will be running through to Wednesday, July 4. With an “Out of this World” theme, there are sure to be some outrageous attractions. Come and enjoy carnival rides, interactive games, outdoor concerts, fried food, animal shows, art exhibits and much more. This Friday synthpop band Cobra Starship will be performing live at 7:30pm with tickets starting around $30. Don’t miss out on the Wine Festival on Saturday, from 1-5pm for $40 of sensational wine tasting.

Saturday, June 9

Carlsbad Beach Fest in Carlsbad

Head to Carlsbad beaches this Saturday from Pine Avenue to Tamarack State Beach for a day filled with good old fashion swimming, surfing, dancing, sand-sculpting, kite-flying, and taking in some quality San Diego sun. To add to this perfect day at the beach, expect to enjoy live local bands, green product vendors and a health and safety expo.

 

LMFAO Sorry for Party Rocking Tour at Valley View Casino Center

If you’re sexy and you know it, check out LMFAO rocking out at the Valley View Casino Center this Saturday at 7pm. Tickets start at just $25, so there is no reason to miss out on this excuse to party! And be sure to swing by Voyeur afterwards as the electro-pop duo keep the party going at their after hours Champagne shower at the downtown venue.

Taste of Gaslamp in the Gaslamp District

Downtown San Diego is well known for their huge variety of fantastic cuisine options. Now is your chance to get a taste of all that the Gaslamp District in particular has to offer at this two-day culinary tour. Taste sample dishes from 30 restaurants on Saturday or Sunday, from 1 to 4pm, for $30 per day, and be sure to stop by the Samuel Adams Beer Garden to quench your thirst.

KidsFest at Liberty Station

Point Loma will transform this outdoor space into wonderland, filled with hands-on activities where San Diego kids are encouraged to let their creative sides run free. This is the county’s largest hands-on creative festival allows kids to indulge in their creativity while learning the values of recycling, repurposing and reinventing!  Tickets are $18 for one day and the event runs from 10am-5pm both Saturday and Sunday.

Haute La Jolla Nights at Prospect Street

This Saturday night in La Jolla, take a stroll down Prospect Street where the active arts community will be joined by live music and enhanced shopping opportunities at the local frequented boutiques

Doggie Street Festival in Ocean Beach

From 9am-4pm, take your best four legged friend to Robb Field in Ocean Beach for the 4th annual Doggie Street Fair, and event dedicated to increasing dog (and cat) adoption. The event is designed to be an informative experience that promotes public awareness and educates on issues of responsible adoption, foster, spay/neuter and conscientious pet guardianship
