29th Annual Fiesta Cinco de Mayo in Old Town
You are definitely going to want to head over to Old Town this fifth of May for the biggest Cinco de Mayo celebration outside of Mexico. Although this is a three-day free fiesta (May 4th to May 6th), Saturday is sure to be the best! The party will include three stages of entertainment with some good ole Mariachi music and even some more upbeat, Latin rock. You and your amigos will be able to enjoy a beer garden, live Lucha Libre fights, a Lowrider Lane – we’re talkin hydraulics, a Children’s Zone, Mexican cuisine, and much, much more!
Cinco de Mayo Tailgate in Petco Park
VAVi is throwing a grande Cinco de Mayo tailgate at Petco Park, yes that’s right…Mexico’s and America’s favorite past times combined together! The tailgate starts at 2:30pm and concludes at 5:30pm, where you are encouraged to stay and route on the Padres as they take on the Marlins. Your tailgate ticket (prices vary) includes three tacos from Bull Taco, all-inclusive Miller Lite, Avion Margarita tasting, DJs, a Mariachi band, piñatas and other Cinco de Mayo themed games.
Gaslamp Cinco de Mayo in the Onyx Room
If it’s a holiday, you know the Gaslamp will have something going on! This year the Onyx Room will host a special Cinco de Mayo fiesta, complete with drink specials, shot specials and party favors all night. Onyx Underground, party people will keep the spirit alive until after hours with a themed photo booth, piñata, mariachis, and Corona Girls. Doors will open at 9pm with DJs Don Santino, DJ Frances, Cowboy Mike and more.

Rwandan Orphan Project Annual Benefit at The Alexander Salazar Fine Art Galary
The Rwandan Orphan Project is an orphanage and a center for street children located just outside of Kigali, Rwanda. The project is dedicated to providing housing, clothing, food, health care, education and many other needs to nearly 100 vulnerable children from around Rwanda. The annual San Diego fundraising event to help this great cause will be happening this Sunday from 5:30 to 8:30pm.
