He is credited with giving Coronado its popular nicknames, the Enchanted Island and the Emerald City. Legend has it that he even designed the chandeliers in the Crown Room of the Hotel Del Coronado! Baum spun his magic and his tales while enjoying Coronado’s sunshine and wide beaches.

You don’t need to register for Winkie Con 50 to attend the Oz Con International events in Coronado. Several Coronado Oz events are free. Others are ticketed separately.
