Description: Holi is a festival of Colors in India to celebrate spring. People apply colors on each other and have fun on this day. CRY San Diego brings this tradition to San Diego to share with San Diegans – Indian or not. Last year we had 1000 people attend this amazing event, and this year we expect more. Open to all ages, communities, colors, and creeds!

We also have a kids dance showcase – inquire if you want to participate.

Where: Hourglass Field, San Diego
Description: Come join CRY San Diego – and about a thousand of your closest friends – to celebrate Holi – The Festival of Colors! If you joined us last year, you know you’re in for a treat! If you didn’t – this is your chance!

There will be color, a little water (we are in the middle of a drought after all), multiple food vendors , games, music and lots more!

Open to all – just be ready to get very colorful! And don’t wear your favorite outfits. Come have fun – and help raise money for Child Rights!

  •  We will also have some kids’ dance performances – inquire if you want to participate.
  • If you want to be a vendor at the event, please contact us.

Note: You need to buy tickets even if you are brining your own color. All profits go to help children who have almost nothing.

Don’t miss this month’s performance from one of San Diego’s premiere dance companies in residency at San Diego’s newest cultural mecca at NTC at Liberty Station. Start your stroll at the NTC Lounge in the Dick Laub NTC Command Center at 2640 Historic Decatur Road from 5-9pm.

Experience Friday Night Liberty on March 6th! San Diego Ballet will be showing excerpts from critically acclaimed choreographer and Artistic Director Javier Velasco’s Carnival of the Animals and Midsummer Night’s Dream at 6:30 and 7:15pm.

Where: San Diego History Center, San Diego
Description: Fashion REDUX! 2015, the San Diego History Center’s annual clothing design competition, showcases the work of San Diego Mesa College Fashion Program students with a sultry, dreamy-eyed nod to the 100th anniversary of the 1915 Panama-California Exposition in Balboa Park. “Then and now” fashions of the four finalists are on display now through March 8 . The Finale Party will be March 6 at 6:00 PM at the San Diego History Center. Four awards will be given, including the People’s Choice Award selection from the audience. Mesa Prof. Susan Lazear will be presenting a visual lecture on fashion from the 1910’s. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door.

Where: La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club, San Diego
Description: This is the second-oldest tennis event in the United States and has a rich tournament history. First held in 1890 at The Hotel Del Monte in Monterey, California, the event was created to promote the sale of real estate on the Monterey peninsula. The original concept pitted the best players from the East versus those from the West. This coast to coast rivalry was the inspiration for the Davis Cup. Past Winners include Jack Kramer, Ted Schroeder, Bobby Riggs, Pancho Segura, Don Budge, Tony Trabert, Stan Smith, Bob Lutz, Arthur Ashe, Dennis Ralston, and John McEnroe and many other world-class champions.

Description: Seaport Village will welcome strange and extraordinary acts from around the world to its 9th annual Spring Busker Festival. The celebration brings colorful street performers – from jugglers on unicycles to stilt walkers, contortionists and acrobalancers – to the waterfront shopping, dining and entertainment district. Aside from the remarkable performances, visitors will enjoy special sales from more than 50 shops, restaurants and eateries at Seaport Village. This one-of-a-kind event only happens once a year, and entrance to the Busker Festival is FREE. Parking and a shuttle service will be available for festival-goers.
