Description: The whole family will enjoy this free event as they watch an aircraft demonstration that’s practically out of this world. Watch from the main flight line near base, or see an extreme view atop Cowles Mountain. The show will be sure to amaze you!

What: Ocean Beach Oktoberfest

When: Friday, Oct. 12 from 4:30pm to 10pm and Saturday, Oct. 13 from 10am-10pm

Where: Newport Ave. and Abbott St.

Description: One of Ocean Beach’s favorite events of the year, Oktoberfest in conjunction with an epic battle of the bands, will attract people from all over San Diego. There will be beer gardens, contests and a sausage tossing competition, and it’s free to enter!

What: Night and Day Street Fest

When: Saturday, Oct. 13 from 4pm to 12am

Where: East Village

Description: Join Night&Day for the inaugural ‘Night & Day Street Fest’ where you can expect a full-service lifestyle event highlighting music, art, food and craft beer. Headliners for the night include G. Love and Donavon Frankenreiter! Tickets are only $25 right now!

What: La Jolla Art & Wine Festival

When: Saturday, Oct. 13 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Where: Between Prospect Avenue and Kline Street on lower Girard Avenue

Description: La Jolla will host a premiere event focusing on local arts and entertainment. The La Jolla Art & Wine Festival has something for everyone, including a silent auction, entertainment, and gourmet food and wine. Proceeds from the event go toward educational programs at local schools.

What: Bates Nuts Farm Pumpkin Patch

When: Saturday, Oct. 13 to Wednesday, Oct. 31 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Where: 15954 Woods Valley Rd.

Description: It’s the time of the year, and fall wouldn’t be complete without hayrides, face painting and enough pumpkins to fill a tractor. Tickets to enter the park cost $9 and include a jack-o-lantern pumpkin, entrance to the straw maze and a hayride.

What: Healthy Living Festival

When: Sunday, Oct. 14 from 10am to 5pm

Where: Del Mar Fairgrounds

Description: Embrace that fit San Diego lifestyle that we love to boast about! Check out the Healthy Living Festival where there will be free workshops, seminars and cooking demonstrations for those looking to live nutritiously. Entrance to the event is free and open to the public.

What: Little Italy FESTA

When: Sunday, Oct. 14 from10am to 6pm

Where: India Street

Description: Celebrate Italian culture at the annual Little Italy FESTA street fair. Get active and join in on the bocce ball tournament or just sit back and fill your tummy with lotsa pasta. Families can check out the Kids Funzone, or view the Italian motor sports exhibit. The day-long event is free and more than 120,000 people are expected to attend!
