Chocolate Decadence and Wine Festival at Pechanga Resort and Casino

Pechanga Resort & Casino presents their “4th Annual Chocolate Decadence & Wine Festival”. This is a 2-day event and will begin Friday March 2, 2012 from 7PM-10PM with Chocolate, Pastries, Port,Sparkling Wines & Live Entertainment. On Saturday March 3, 2012 head over from 1PM-5PM to experience Gourmet Food, live entertainment and of course, lots of wine and chocolate. Tickets range between $55 and $75.

The Dinner Detective at The Courtyard Downtown

The Dinner Detective Interactive Murder Mystery Dinner Show - Select Your Desired California Location

Eat a four-course sit-down dinner and help solve a mystery all at once. The show is an interactive and improvised comedic murder mystery set in the present day. None of the performers are dressed in costume, but instead are dressed just like everyone else; therefore you do not know who is a part of the show and who isn’t. The show takes place throughout the entire room, and performers may actually be seated at your table, so part of the fun from the beginning is trying to figure out who’s involved in the crime and who’s not. Throughout the night, murders and mayhem will occur, hidden clues will come forth and our Detectives will help everyone try to solve the crime, with a prize for the one who uncovers the murderer! Show time starts around 6pm and tickets start at $60.

6th Annual Kite Festival in Ocean Beach

Head over to Ocean Beach for this free event where you can enjoy a kite festival that is known as the oldest kite festival in the United States. It offers musical entertainment, carnival rides, handmade crafts, and light refreshments. Children can each create their own kite, have it judged for a prize, and fly it at the beach.

5th Anniversary and Local Beer Festival at The Tap Room

Tap Room will be celebrating their 5th Anniversary Party and Local Beer Festival on Saturday the 3rd in the back parking lot. Amazing beer, great food, and great people make this event a huge success every year! Check it out as there will be BBQ’ing out back and some amazing local beer including some guest brews such as Pliny the Younger!

Chealsea’s 5k Run/Walk from Balboa Park

The 2nd Annual Finish Chelsea’s Run 5K Run/Walk will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2012 in San Diego’s Balboa Park. In addition to the 5K run/walk, the family festival will feature many “Chelsea-esque” activities including a yoga booth, organic produce booth, group photo area, sunflower pot painting station for children and other family-friendly activities. Participants will also be treated to post-race refreshments and entertainment. This annual run/walk is now the primary fundraiser for Chelsea’s Light Foundation’s Sunflower Scholarship Fund, providing scholarships for San Diego County college-bound teens who have embraced Chelsea’s service-over-self ethic.
