Celebration of Junior Seau’s Life at Qualcomm Stadium
Join The San Diego Chargers as they host a Celebration of Life in honor of previous Chargers’ linebacker, Junior Seau, this Friday at 6:30 pm at Qualcomm Stadium. Everyone is welcome to attend the free ceremony where Junior Seau’s life will be celebrated through special guest speakers sharing memories and stories of the late San Diego community icon. Gates open at 4:30 and fans are encouraged to arrive early, as a large crowd is expected.
11th Annual Gator by the Bay Fest at Spanish Landing Park

Cirque Du Soleil: Totem at Del Mar Fairgrounds
Cirque du Soleil’s newest show is touring San Diego, and this is your last weekend to capture the spectacular known as Totem. Totem is inspired by the process of evolution, and will surely blow your mind with incredible acrobatics, stunning contortions, alluring music, elaborate costumes, and a beautiful story. There are a variety of tickets available, starting around $50.
Channel 933 Summer Kickoff at Cricket Wireless Amphitheatre ![]()
This Friday, Channel 933 and function: Alternative Energy Drink, is joining forces and presenting the annual Summer Kickoff Concert from 6pm-12am. This year’s lineup is coming in hot with live performances by Maroon 5, Flo-Rida, Wiz Khalifa, Gym Class Heroes, The Wanted, Dev, DJ Havana Brown, Chris Rene of “X Factor” and Karmin, the YouTube star. Tickets start at $31 per person.
FitCampSD at Mission Bay Park
FitcampSD is a fitness camp for ages from teen to adult, that reoccurs every Monday to Friday, 6-7pm, and every Saturday from 10-11am at Mission Bay Park. They offer a variety of challenges for all physical fitness levels and are on a mission to educate the world on a healthy lifestyle. Don Mclean at Sycuan Resort and Casino
Don McLean is one of America’s most classic singer-songwriters who is most well known for his greatest hit “American Pie.” Since first hitting the charts in 1971, Don has amassed over 40 gold and platinum records world-wide and, in 2004, was inducted into the Songwriters’ Hall of Fame. He will be performing live this Saturday, 8pm, at the Sycuan Casino in El Cajon, tickets starting at just $35.
Hop aboard the Adventure Hornblower with your best four legged friend. The one hour narrated cruise costs $23 per adult, and pups cruise free, and a portion of the proceeds benefit the homeless animals of Helen Woodward Animal Center. Enjoy a day on the bay with some yummy treats, great picture opps, and lots of good company!
San Diego Surf Film Fest at Bird’s Surf Shed
This whole weekend, the first ever San Diego Surf Film Festival will provide audiences with viewings, meet & greets and parties to celebrate surf culture through the art of cinema. Although the fest primarily takes place at Bird’s Surf Shed, many events take place along the coast throughout the weekend. General admission tickets range from $5-20, where the all access pass will put you back about $100.
18th Annual Mother’s Day Weekend Art and Garden Tour at Off Track Gallery
Celebrate mom this year and introduce her to the bountiful displays of original artwork including paintings, fine art prints, sculptures, photographs, unique glass, metal and gourd art, jewelry, and more at the 18th annual Mother’s Day Weekend Art and Garden Tour in Encinitas. This Sunday, Intervention 2012 brings American House music DJ Donald Glaude to the Hard Rock. Join one of the hottest pool parties in San Diego and rock the day away as Glaude spins a live set, this Mother’s Day from 12-6pm, for just $20.
Roger Waters at Valley View Casino Center
Roger Waters, the co-founder and principal songwriter of one of the most influential bands, Pink Floyd, has announced the return of the historic production of “The Wall” to North America, which was one of the most successful tours of 2012 with120 shows around the world for more than 1.6 million fans. This epic event will start at 8pm at the Valley View Casino Center in Point Loma, with tickets starting around $60.
