What: Del Mar Summer Concert Series Ft. Wavves

Where: Del Mar Race Track

When: Friday, July 20 after the races!

Description: Racing fans will return to the improved Seaside Stage, located at the west end of the Grandstand with the Pacific Ocean as a backdrop and better access to concer-goer services and amenities. Catch shows held every Friday, select Saturdays and Sundays from July 18 through September 5. Del Mar’s concerts are FREE with racetrack admission purchased prior to the last race, an exceptional value as admission starts at just $3 for Diamond Club members (free to sign up) and $6 without Diamond Club membership.  Admission for concertgoers entering after the final race is $20. This Friday will feature Wavves a band from our own backyard. Wavves utilizes a mixture of classic surf vibes, psychedelic studio sounds, and a hint of garage punk rock that ultimately yields Wavves’ unique sound.

What: San Diego LGBT Pride Block Party

Where: Hillcrest

When: Friday, July 20 from 7PM-11PM

Description: For the first year ever, San Diego Pride is partnering with the neighborhood of Fabulous Hillcrest and the Hillcrest Business Association to throw a Friday night PRIDE block party! That’s right, you’ve waited year after year for a pride party in the streets, and now it’s here. Party with your favorite nightclubs in the streets of Hillcrest, buy a regular admissions ticket or go exclusive with a VIP admissions ticket, or go even bigger with a coveted Cabana, either way, you’ll be kicking off Pride Weekend in style. Dancing, DJ’s, food, drinks and a “Hillcrest Pride Flag Viewing” ferris wheel at the intersection of Normal Street and University Avenue. All proceeds from this event go right back into the neighborhood of HIllcrest and to San Diego LGBT Pride. Regular admission tickets are $15.

What: San Diego LGBT Pride Parade

Where: Hilcrest

When: Saturday, July 21 at 11AM

Description: The annual San Diego LGBT Pride Parade is the 4th largest in the United States attracting over 197,000 cheering spectators and significant media participation. The parade begins at University Ave. and Normal Street, proceeds west on University Avenue to 6th Avenue, turns south on 6th Avenue, ending at Balboa Drive and Upas Street.

 

What: San Diego LGBT Pride Festival

When: Saturday, July 21 from 12PM-10PM and Sunday, July 22 from 11AM-8PM

Where: Balboa Park

Description: San Diego Pride’s famous cultural Festival includes multiple stages of entertainment, more than 80 musicians, bands, comedy and dance performers, 300 participating vendor booths, an Art exhibit, cultural presentations, and great food! Highlights include: Three Entertainment Stages, Farmers Market, hiNrg dance floor, Beer Gardens, Wine Grotto, Cool Zone for those 55+, Leather Realm, Interfaith Pavilion, Art of Pride (LGBT local artists), Youth Zone, Children’s Garden, and over 300 vendors.We invite families, youth, and people of all ages to participate in the annual Pride Festival.

What: 59th Annual Over the Line Tournament

When: Saturday, July 21 and Sunday, July 22 from 7AM-DARK

Where: Fiesta Island

Description: This rough and tumble Southern California sport is a form of rugged softball played on sand. It’s a popular event where crowds of people in beachware gather to watch the games amid music and beer. The games are played on 50 mini-courts over two scheduled weekends. Come and join the crowd, it’s free to watch!

What: Brazilian Day Pre-Party Event

When: Saturday, June 21 from 6PM-1AM

Where: PB Bar and Grill

Description: Head over to Pacific Beach this Saturday night for a Brazilian Day Pre-Party Fundraiser. There will be live Samba dancers, Brazilian music and DJs and even a bikini fashion show. Show your support and have a blast at this great event that will raise money for San Diego Brazilian Day on September 9th!
