On July 14th 2012, National Bastille day (like an Independence day)  in France, a new French restaurant and wine bar called Café Paris opened its doors in San Diego Downtown East Village. You will be able to taste food based on French recipes and also a large selection of wine, served by a staff that will welcome you with their French accent. Which makes the difference with most of the restaurants is that the cheese and wine are mainly imported from France, which will add a different taste on the experience. The owner, Loris, will help you discover all kind of wine that he selected with care, to be able to share with everybody the best French wine at the best price, making it affordable for everybody, with prices starting at $5.


The menu has been made to please everybody at anytime of the day. Croissant in the morning with expresso coffee, french baguettes with salad for lunch, amuses-bouche (little bites) for dinner with a glass of wine, or some French onion soup are just a few things that you can find on their menu.

 

This little restaurant on 455 10th avenue, in the middle of San Diego Downtown East Village, has an unique French style. It looks like a real Parisian café with French music playing all day long, from the most famous French songs of the 50’s and 60’s to the recent lounge music that you can hear in every famous night places in Paris.

 

The restaurant is open every day for lunch and dinner but also all day long and late buy night. However, this is not just a restaurant but also a wine bar for all the people that just want to come drink a glass of wine. A lot of different events are also organized such as wine tasting, concerts, among others. People can also reserve the place to organize special events, such as after-work parties.
