The MLB All-Star Game to be played at San Diego’s Petco Park on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 is almost here. In addition to Tuesday’s game, the All-Star extravaganza has given us free concerts from Gwen Stefani, One Republic, Akon CQand Fall Out Boy; CQthe first-ever All-Star Game yoga event; Sunday’s Color Run 5K; and FanFest, which is at the San Diego Convention Center through Tuesday. Add it all up, and the All-Star Game extravaganza is expected to draw crowds even larger than Comic-Con.

Description: All-Star action picks up in San Diego – and not only inside Petco Park. A few hundred feet from where baseball’s best will strut their stuff, the annual MLB All-Star Week Pepsi Block Party will be the place to be outside the ballpark as baseball fans get ready for all the action on the field.

Description: MLB All-Star FanFest at the San Diego Convention Center, which opened on Friday, July 8th and runs through Tuesday, July 12th, is the world’s largest interactive baseball theme park with more than 40 attractions for fans of all ages. Throughout the show floor, fans will have the chance to take photos and get autographs with former Padres players, MLB legends and Hall of Famers; practice their baseball skills during clinics taught by former and current MLB players; swing like their favorite Major Leaguers in the batting cages; view a collection of MLB trophies and take a photo with the Commissioner’s Trophy, presented to the World Series Champion; explore exhibits from the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum and more.

Description: Located in front of the Hilton Bayfront, the inaugural PLAY BALL Park will be a nearly 80,000 square foot outdoor location that will operate Thursday, July 7th through Tuesday, July 12th. PLAY BALL Park programming will include MLB, USA Baseball, USA Softball, The Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation, The Positive Coaching Alliance, and other PLAY BALL partners providing fun, engaging and educational activities for youth baseball and softball players and their families – all in the backdrop of the Midsummer Classic.
