Where: Sportfishing Landings, Port of San Diego

Description: DAY AT THE DOCKS is the event marking the Port of San Diego’s 35th annual celebration of the official start of Southern California’s spring salt-water fishing season. The event will take place on April 13 from 9 AM to 5 PM on the waterfront at San Diego’s Sportfishing Landings, Harbor Dr. Admissions and parking are free. Parking is available on Shelter Island with frequent shuttles at no cost, to and from the festival. DAY AT THE DOCKS highlights the world’s largest and the most modern sportfishing fleet. A lot of the vessels will be open for the inspection of the public while others will offer introductory boat rides on the bay for $2 per person. Day-long activities for the entire family are also in the offing. More than 200 exhibits are scheduled to display fishing tackle, marine art, clothing, accessories, services, and more. There will be a number of “how-to” seminars, thousands of dollars of fishing equipment donated by sponsors and exhibitors, plus live entertainment by some of San Diego’s finest entertainers.
