Your Sunrise Surprise Stroll may include: * An animal presentation* or *special animal encounter *. A walk to the scheduled animal visit area is where the keeper spends time with the group, often in behind-the-scenes areas.

Description: The free Whale Festival is a family event that offers interactive and hands on displays to spark the interest and imagination of children. The event includes a walk-through gray whale, live sea creatures, free face painting, kids art mural coloring project, an inflated obstacle course, a trackless train and two giant bounce houses. Enjoy live music on the “Whale of a stage” featuring the favorite,” James Gibson Band” and Jinnah Williams and “Moon Dog”, from Phoenix. Crowds loved the colorful and passionate local youth dance group called “Flamenco with Roots” so they will appear again, this year on the main stage! The award recognizes outstanding achievement by an artist who has influenced and popularized country music and brought attention to it in a foreign territory. Description:  Cindy Fisher became the University of San Diego’s head women’s basketball coach on April 19, 2005. In her eighth season in 2012-13, Cindy Fisher managed to do something no other coach in the history of the program had done before, the Toreros posted a 20-win season, second time consecutively. USD boasted of an overall record of 22-10, the second most wins in history, and reached the second round of the WNIT. USD also had a 12-4 mark in the WCC, which is good for sole possession of second place in the West Coast Conference. San Diego also managed to reach the championship game of the WCC Tournament. This marked only the second time that USD has made back-to-back post season appearances, and both times have come under the watchful eye of Cindy Fisher. USD achieved this despite losing a two 1,000-point scorers, and the team’s leading rebounder from the previous season’s record setting team. Under coach Fisher’s tutelage, the Toreros produced the WCC Freshman of the Year, Maya Hood, and had three total players earn All-WCC honors, highlighted by first-teamer Amy Kame.

Description:  Stacie Terry was named the eighth head coach in the history of the San Diego State women’s basketball program on May 15, 2013. A native of San Diego, Terry gained a load of experience as an assistant coach at the Division I level over the past 14 years, including the last five under head coach Nikki Caldwell, who transformed UCLA into a powerhouse before restoring LSU to national prominence.

The team finished last season with an overall record of 27-7 and a conference record of 15-1.

With more than seven million descendants, the Mayans continue to carry on many of the traditions and cultural traits of their ancestors through charming weaving, woodcarving, and ceramics that are displayed along with the original artificats in the Museum.
