Visitors to the highly touted Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition at San Diego Natural History Museum will receive a replica boarding pass of a passenger on the R.M.S. Titanic, and from there the journey begins. The galleries focus on the legendary Titanic’s compelling human stories as best told through authentic artifacts recovered from the ocean floor and extensive room re-creations. The Fleet, in conjunction with the Global Association of Gross and Messy Education (GAG-ME) invites children 6-14 to participate in the GrossOlympics, in celebration of “Grossology: The (Impolite) Science of the Human Body.” See who reigns supreme with the smelliest sneakers, loudest burp, and longest spitting distance. Or join a team relay competing to move a tennis ball through an “intestinal” tube the quickest. Fun prizes will be awarded to contest winners.
