Description:  This weekend, sit back, relax and enjoy the show. Come out, enjoy the races and watch the sun set along with your favorite reggae artists at Reggae Fest Ziggy Marley, who will perform shortly after the last race at around 7 p.m.

Every Friday and select Saturdays and Sundays Del Mar will host a free summer concert! All concerts are 18 and up with the exception of the “Weird Al” Yankovic performance on Friday, August 21 which is all ages. Concerts are FREE with racetrack admission. If you arrive AFTER the last race, you will be charged concert admission ($20). Pre-paid tickets, complimentary tickets and season passes will not be accepted for concert admission after the last race. Purchase Stretch Run admission for $6 (no seat needed) and that gets you a day of racing and a FREE concert!

The concert area is located West of the Grandstand. Food and drinks are available for purchase.

To celebrate, the all-volunteer committee is putting on LomaPalooza, a community concert featuring home grown bands and musical groups from Point Loma and Ocean Beach on July 25, 2015. The event will begin in the early afternoon; the last band will finish at 8:30 p.m. Here’s the rest of the lineup. Luminous and exquisitely rendered, “Woman in Blue Reading a Letter” (about 1663-1664) is one of Vermeer’s most captivating portrayals of a young woman’s private world. This generous loan from the Rijksmuseumin Amsterdam marks the first appearance of this remarkable painting in San Diego. Praised as one of Vermeer’s most beautiful paintings, “Woman in Blue Reading a Letter” demonstrates the artist’s exceptional command of color, light and perspective. The Timken’s special installation allows visitors to have an intimate experience with “Woman in Blue Reading a Letter” and highlights one of the most distinctive and influential masters of the Dutch Golden Age. The four-month exhibition also features a variety of events, which include noted scholars on Vermeer. Many of the events are free to the public and are designed to give guests an enhanced understanding of the Vermeer and other masterpieces in the Timken’s collection.
