Description: San Diego County Fair is one of the main San Diego attractions in the summer in San Diego county. Centrally located in Del Mar at the Del Mar fairgrounds, it offers food, rides, shows, animals, concerts and lots of fun.
San Diego County Fair Hours: The fair opens at 10:00 on weekends (Saturday, Sunday, and July 4) and 11:00 AM on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The fair closes around midnight on Friday and Saturday and 11:00 all other nights. Open until midnight on July 4. Some items close early – Kids’ Best area closes at 9:00 PM, World of Horses and The Farm closes at dusk. Kiddieland closes 11 PM on Fri and Sat and 10 PM other nights.

Description: Forty inspiring Gleason paintings generously loaned to us from The Kelton Collection and the artist’s family are on exhibit at the Maritime Museum, including personal artifacts from the Gleason family to give visitors more of the story behind this remarkable multi-talented renaissance man. Description: Father’s Day luncheon at 12:00 noon entertainment by The Fynetones: The Fynetones are a wonderful group, led by Louise Tabler. They specialize in renditions of big band and popular music from the 1940’s-1960’s.

Description: Food will be sold at an onsite barbecue with partial proceeds donated to “Angel’s Depot” Beer garden sponsored by San Marcos Chamber of Commerce for those 21 and over. No glass or outside alcohol allowed in park. Bring beach chairs or blankets for lawn seating. Umbrellas allowed in designated areas. No EZ Ups allowed. $10 Friday; $15 Saturday; $20 two-day pass presale.

Where: Koehler Kraft Boat Yard, San Diego
Description: The 23rd Annual San Diego Wooden Boat Festival will feature more than 70 classic crafts for public viewing, seminars on traditional maritime skills, activities for kids, live music, raffle and food.
The featured boats for this year’s event will be the first public viewing of the 2013 Koehler Kraft 28 Express Launch, ‘Neptune’, and the 1928 60′ ten meter class sloop ‘Sally’, which has just undergone a full restoration.
Proceeds from the event will go to benefit Challenged America -a recreational rehabilitaion, adaptive sailing program which was launched by Disabled Veterans in 1978.

Description: Make this Father’s Day an unforgettable one! Go for a sail aboard the State’s Official Tall Ship “Californian”. Work the lines & handle the sails with the crew as you sail around the beautiful calm waters of San Diego Bay. The day begins with a souvenir photo followed by a quick meal. Each adult receives a delicious bratwurst sandwich, chips & a cold beer prior to sailing. Hotdogs and soft drinks are available for the kids. Description: Call him the Gangster of Love. Call him Maurice. You can even call him the The Joker or Space Cowboy. Everybody knows that Steve Miller speaks the pompitus of love. Miller’s broad appeal crosses boundaries, from headlining the 2011 opening of the new $2.5 million TV home of “Austin City Limits” to collaborating with country superstar Kenny Chesney on the Country Music Television special, “Crossroads.” The Steve Miller Band was a cornerstone of the burgeoning underground FM rock radio stations that were springing up across the country (when disc jockey Tom Donahue started the country’s first round-the-clock FM rock station in San Francisco, the first song he played was “Children of the Future”) and the Steve Miller Band headlined an endless circuit of psychedelic ballrooms from the Electric Circus in Philadelphia to the Grande Ballroom in Detroit.
