Description: Jack Johnson announces fall headline tour dates in support of his sixth studio album, From Here To Now To You, to be released on September 17 through Johnson’s own Brushfire Records. Inspired by his solo acoustic Hawaiian Islands Theater Tour last year, Johnson will play some of the most beautiful and intimate seated theatres in North America including San Diego’s historic Balboa Theatre. As Johnson told Rolling Stone about his 2012 Hawaiian Islands Tour: “They were the most magical shows,” he says. ”It gave you the time to tell stories and where the songs came from. I really enjoyed that. I think we’re going to mix it up next year with different types of tours, but at least for a lot of it, we’re going to try to do some theaters.” With 25 of his 28 fall tour venues in historic theaters, Johnson is doing just that. As with all of his tours since 2008, Johnson will donate 100% of his tour profits to charity.

His first lead role in a film was in Half Baked in 1998. In 2003, he became widely known for his popular sketch comedy television series, Chappelle’s Show, which ran until his abrupt retirement from the show in 2005. Chappelle is ranked forty-third in Comedy Central Presents: 100 Greatest Stand-Ups of All Time.

Description: Michael McDonald is originally from Orange County, California. He is an alumnus of the famed Groundlings Theater in Los Angeles. His first professional writing and acting jobs came from Concorde Pictures, Roger Corman’s infamous low-budget movie studio. Starting as an extra, McDonald quickly landed dozens of film roles, eventually moving behind the camera to write and direct for the studio.

McDonald created several popular characters – most notably man-child Stuart Larkin, Marvin Tikkvah Rusty Miller, and Mofaz, The Depressed Persian Tow Truck Man.

Join Shrek, our unlikely hero, and his loyal steed Donkey as they set off on a quest to rescue the beautiful — if slightly temperamental — Princess Fiona from her tower guarded by a fire breathing lovesick dragon. Add the diminutive Lord Farquaad, a gang of fairytale misfits, and a biscuit with attitude, and you’ve got the must see musical comedy SHREK – The Musical. The production consists of 72 cast members, 10 youth crew members and 4 youth orchestra members playing in the pit! All in all a youth production!

Events throughout the weekend raise more than $1 million each year for San Diego-based Challenged Athletes Foundation, which is used to fund equipment, training expenses, sports clinics and mentoring for physically challenged athletes — helping them to succeed in sports and in life.

Join as a spectator: Come to La Jolla Cove to watch participants of the San Diego Triathlon at the finish line and event participants of the Tour de Cove spin-a-thon and Fitness Walk.
