Indigo Girls Humphreys
American folk rock music sensation the Indigo Girls will be performing live at Humphreys by the Bay, this Friday, starting at 7:30pm. Special guest, The Shadowboxers, will also make an appearance. Oysterfest Embarcadero Marina Park
This years San Diego Oysterfest will not leave you disappointed. There will be lots of live music, food from the city’s top restaurants, beer from Coronado Brewing Company, and of course…oysters! Sip some Green Flash or Ballast Point, observe a cooking demos from San Diego celebrity chefs, enjoy shucking competitions, indulge on tasty eats, and sway to awesome music. This years headliner will be Iration, with performances by Vokab Kompany, The Silent Comedy, Little Hurricane, Splitfinger plus DJ appearances by Mikey Beat, Beatnick, MikeCzech and Demon. General Admission tickets are $25.
Philip Rivers 5k
Support participants of the 2012 Philip Rivers 5k, benefiting The Rivers of Hope Foundation. This great cause was founded in 2010 with a mission to help children in need of a forever family find permanent loving homes and their own sense of self-worth by developing and coordinating resources and programs to create community awareness, recruit adoptive families, provide financial aid for adoption and assistance for foster children and orphans. The event will include live music, a food court, a kid zone, and an autograph booth!
Old House Fair Historic South park
San Diego’s 14th annual Old House Fair returns to historic South Park this Saturday from 10-4. The FREE festival includes tours, exhibitors, vendors, live music stage, food vendors, fun for kids, info on restoration, gardens, architecture, design, and California’s historic neighborhoods. Father’s Day Fest and Walk Qualcomm Stadium
The Kids of America and the Heartland Coalition are hosting the 2nd Annual Father’s Day Fest and Walk at 7pm in Qualcomm Stadium. The free event celebrates and honors the relationship between Dad and the Kids. There will be activities for the whole family including live music, an obstacle course, kids arts and crafts, the “Man Cave”, Amateur BBQ cook-off, a walk, and much more.
The 22nd Annual San Diego Wooden Boat Festival Shelter Island
The 22nd annual San Diego Wooden Boat Festival, features more than 70 classic crafts, seminars on traditional maritime skills, activities for kids, and live music featuring “Heritage” who will be performing tradional seafaring tunes from the 18th and 19th centuries at the Koehler Kraft boatyard on Shelter Island. This is the premier annual event for Southern California traditional wooden boat enthusiasts and provides a rare opportunity for the general public to view these crafts up close from 9-5 for just $5.

Father’s Day Aboard The Californian Maritime Musuem
The Maritime Museum of San Diego invites you to the Father’s Day celebration aboard the 145’ schooner Californian. This Father’s Day celebration includes a group photo, food, and a three hour sailing trip from 12-3 p.m, as well as admission to the museum (9 a.m. – 9 p.m.). $60 for adults and $30 for children.
Big Bay Father’s Day Fishing Tournament San Diego piers
Cast a line from three Port of San Diego fishing piers – in Chula Vista Bayside Park, Pepper Park in National City and Cesar Chavez Park in San Diego. The tournament is free for children under 16 who are accompanied by an adult. Bait will be provided free of charge, and if you don’t have your own fishing gear, limited fishing equipment will be available. Check-in at each location will be from 6:30 a.m. to 7 a.m. The tournament will run from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. and an awards ceremony will follow at noon. Free water and snacks will be available for participants, so don’t forget to register!
