What: La Jolla Fashion Film Festival

Description: Let out your inner fashionista at the La Jolla Fashion Film Festival held at the Museum of Contemporary Art La Jolla from Thursday, July 26 through Saturday, July 28. LJFFF will host a variety of director and producer panels in the afternoon, followed by a variety of short fashion film screenings from 8PM to 10PM. Each night, Barfly will also host the official after party starting at 10pm. Individual screening tickets start at $75.

Description: The 10th Annual Taste of the Pacific Islands will be going on this Thursday from 6 to 9pm at the waterfront Bali Hai Restaurant. Presented by the Pacific Islander Festival Association, the event will feature foodie stations from island style restaurants, traditional music and dance and a silent auction. Tickets are $25 advanced, or $30 at the door.
What: Olympic Opening Ceremony Viewing Party

Description: Hop aboard the USS Midway Museum for San Diego’s best FREE London Olympics 2012 Opening Ceremony Viewing Party this Friday at 6:30 PM. Produced in partnership with the Chula Vista Olympic Training Center, entertainment includes a screening of the ceremony on two giant TVs on the aircraft carrier’s flight deck, archery demonstrations, photos with a real Olympic torch, and juggling demonstrations with the Paralympic soccer team.

What: Gourmet Food Truck & Craft Beer Festival 
Where: Del Mar Racetrack
When: Saturday, July open till 6PM
Description: Head to the racetrack on Saturday for the Gourmet Food Truck & Craft Beer Festival. Starting at noon, this fest will feature 50 food trucks and 60 craft brews on tap down in the Seaside Concert Area, located west of the grandstand. The event is free with your racetrack admission, and runs til 6pm.
What: San Diego Blood Bank 5K Walk/Run
Where: Embarcadero Marina Park North
When: Sunday, July 29 at 8Am
Description: Enjoy a beautiful walk or run along a scenic course with spectacular views of San Diego Bay. The walk begins and ends at Embarcadero Marina Park North at Seaport Village. Proceeds support the San Diego Blood Bank and its lifesaving work.Included will be delicious food and a chance to visit our “family fun zone” with games for all ages. The walk/run begins at 8 a.m.
