What: Sister Act – The Musical

Description: Sister Act is a musical written by Cheri Steinkellner and Bill Steinkellner with additional book material by Douglas Carter Beane, with lyrics by Glenn Slater and music by Alan Menken. It is based on the hit 1992 film comedy of the same name. The 2009 West End production was produced by Stage Entertainment, Whoopi Goldberg, and Michael Reno for Sis Acts LLC. Goldberg is also a producer of the 2011 Broadway adaptation.
What: Female Pro Surfing Competition – Ford Supergirl Pro

Description: Come out and see the very best that female surfing has to offer at the Oceanside Pier! The Ford Supergirl Pro presented by Paul Mitchell is the largest female surfing event in the world and the only ASP 6-Star women’s surf contest in North America. The event will feature more than 90 of the world’s top female pros, including Bethany Hamilton, Alana Blanchard, Carissa Moore, Courtney Conlogue, Coco Ho, and many more.
The event will include live music as well as autographs from the pros, free hair styling from Paul Mitchell, giveaways, celebrity guests, and a vendor village with a host of surf-oriented companies. You won’t want to miss this!

Knight is a seven-time Grammy winner (four as a solo artist and three with her legendary Pips) and The O’Jays (Walter Williams, Eric Grant and Eddie Levert) are R&B/Soul legends who began performing in 1958. Knight will perform many of her multi-platinum hits, including “Friendship Train,” “If I Were A Woman,” and “I Don’t Do No Wrong.” The O’Jays certainly will include “Lonely Drifter,” “Back Stabber” and “Love Train” in their repertoire.

Description: Join the crew and experience the awesome power of sailing a tall ship. Departing most weekends (see website or call museum for most up to date schedule) passengers will be invited to haul a line, man the helm and end their day with a cannon salute. Watch the crew as they scamper up and down the rigging to set and furl the sails. Listen as the Californian’s crew relates the history of sailing and exploration in San Diego, tales of whaling and sea otter trade, local sea battles, the art of ship’s gunnery, life at sea and more.
Adventure Package admission to the Maritime Museum of San Diego includes a four-hour adventure sailing aboard the schooner Californian as well as admission to the museum and its fleet of historic ships.
