The County Fair is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the first visit of The Beatles to the United States, igniting the invasion of British style music and pop culture, and still influencing today’s musicians. The Adams Avenue District is evolving along with our event. Come and visit as many of the participating storefront businesses as you can with many galleries and stages curated for the event.

Description: This year’s “AirShow San Diego” will feature a representative collection of Aircraft and Acts to commemorate the 70th Anniversary of the Normandy Invasion. PBY Catalina, PB4Y-2 Privateer, Ryan STM, Ryan PT-22, Ryan L-17 Navion, Vultee BT-13 will also be present. John Collver’s War Dog T6/SNJ aerial display is back by popular demand. Feel the poignancy when the Smoke-N-Thunder Jet Car races a WWII Warbird! Many aircraft and Navy SEALs will be on ground to have a mock battle with “Pyro.” Flying and mock battles will take place on June, 7th & 8th. Gates open 9 am to 4 pm, at Gillespie Field in El Cajon.
Come dressed in your best 1940’s fashion and participate in the AirShow San Diego Dance contest! AirShow San Diego occurs once-a-year with a FREE Kid’s Zone and parking. There are amusements, education displays, rides, a variety of food and beverages, classic cars sponsored by Warriors United, plus a Beer Garden sponsored by Hangar 24 Craft Brewery to make up a great summer weekend for all.

Description: Join with dozens others for the largest yoga fundraiser in Southern California. Unite with 1,000 hyoga and wellness enthusiasts on Saturday, June 7th for the 4th Annual Yoga for Hope at Petco Park. The huge yoga event will include a Yoga Marketplace with over 30 vendors and a 90 minute master yoga class led by Stacy McCarthy, Michael Fukumura, Claire Petretti Marti and Amy Caldwell.
Yoga for Hope is a national initiative born out of a growing sense of the vital role of therapies (such as yoga) in healing the whole person. City of Hope seeks to understand and spread among others the importance of the mind-body-spirit connection to prevent, treat and help in recovery of those with cancer and other life threatening diseases.

To honor our fun runners, they have incorporated a 5K for 2014. This 5K course is shorter than the 10K but packed with the awesome USMC obstacles and displays! Tackle this stamina test as an individual or as a member of a 5-person team.

Description: Take a look into the research collections for nearly 200 of the weirdest and wildest skulls. Rarely on display, these fascinating skulls belong to animals from around the world—birds, mammals, reptiles, and amphibians, ranging from big and scary (a rhinoceros, a big-horned sheep, a giraffe) to the tiny and cute (California’s own tiny Western Black-headed Snake).
